FAQs

How do I figure out if we’re a good fit?

Let's chat and figure it out together! I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation as a first step.

Call me at 469-708-9189 or fill out the contact form here, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. On our call, we can talk about what you’re looking for, questions you have about me and therapy in general, as well as practical things like scheduling and billing as needed.

From there, we can schedule an initial session, which is our opportunity to go more in-depth to figure out if we’re a good fit. I’ll get to know you more—what’s bringing you to therapy, your background, your hopes and goals for therapy, and whatever else you feel like sharing. We’ll also talk about what therapy will look and feel like together—how I work with clients, my approach and style in therapy, and whether all that feels like what you’re wanting and needing.

If we feel good about things, we’ll talk about next steps for starting therapy together, and if it feels like we may not be the best fit, then I will happily help however I can with your search in the way of trusted referrals!

What is the financial investment for therapy? And can I use my health insurance?

Please reach out directly to inquire about current session rates. I accept all major credit cards, as well as HSA and FSA cards.

You may have the option of utilizing your insurance if your plan has out of network benefits. Sessions are charged directly to you at the time of your appointment. From there, my office can electronically send out out-of-network claims on your behalf (in most cases). Then, your insurance company may reimburse you directly for some portion of the cost based on coverage that your plan may have for out-of-network therapy.

When we talk, I am more than happy to help you understand and navigate the out-of-network benefits process however I can. But I always still recommend that you contact your insurance directly to find out more information about out-of-network benefits with your particular plan. Nonetheless, if it's helpful for us to chat first before you call, don't hesitate to call me as a first step!

How often do we meet?

I see clients on a minimum once/week basis, especially when we first start, with potential for more frequent sessions for more in-depth work + depending on an assessmenet of your goals and needs.

I don't live in California or Texas. Can we still work together?
